Norfolk Camping Day 4 - Africa Alive

For Day 4 I really wanted to go to Bewilderwood but unfortunately I was outnumbered by the rest of the family who all wanted to go to Africa Alive. This was our second time to this Zoo and it is a pretty amazing place with some stunning enclosures and plenty of activities for the kids. Holly loved seeing all the animals and also really enjoyed the train ride around the Zoo. Since we last visited they have added a little mini crazy golf course and their latest animal enclosure is some Fossa's which I had never seen before. Absolutely fascinating animals.

My little tribe at the entrance to Africa Alive. That's a scary lion.

The lion enclosure at Africa Alive has got to be one of the best in the country with a pack of 7 lions which you can see very close up.

The male lion sleeping whilst one of the females prowls up and down.

Joshua, Brandon and Holly at the lion lookout lodge.

Not quite sure why the zoo has these elephant sculptures when they have no elephants!

The Savannah plains have a stunning collection of rhino, ostrich, zebra's and giraffes.

Brandon helping Holly feed some geese.

We also crossed paths with some very friendly little ducklings.

Ready for a ride around the zoo in the zebra train.

All aboard..........

In the soft play area Brandon liked this pig. You shoved a ball in its mouth and it would poop it out making a fart noise!

Holly happy playing in the ball pit.

My 3 little babies with a giant size lion.

In the outdoor play area both Joshua and Brandon managed to do the monkey bars for the first time. Clearly their crossfit lessons are paying off.

See-saw fun with the kiddies.

Later in the day we got to watch the lions being fed as they launched some chunks of meet into their drinking water.

Brandon's favourite animal of the day was the ring tailed lemur enclosure which you could walk through.

They are lovely animals and in the shop afterwards Brandon brought himself a little ring tailed lemur teddy.

All 3 kiddies enjoying some time in the petting zoo.

Joshua and Brandon teaching Holly how to milk a cow.

Towards the end of our day the otters decided to come out for a play.

Holly running up and down a slope in the all new crazy golf course (which has some exceptionally hard holes!).

Brandon about to take a shot (and yes still wearing the New York fleece).
