Joshua's 11th Birthday

On Thursday last week it was Joshua's 11th birthday and as you can imagine it was very much a Fortnite themed birthday. He wanted either a paddle board or a new mountain bike for his main present and since it is heading in to winter time we figured he would get more use of the mountain bike. So his main present was a really nice dual suspension Muddy Fox mountain bike which to be honest I would think about nicking for my cycles to work!!

As Josh has started using his hover board a lot more we also took a punt on buying him a kart attachment for it. This has turned out to be his favourite present and he pretty much lives on the thing. It is amazing just how rapid and how quickly it accelerates to the point that I actually think its a bit dangerous and he should wear a helmet. He was keeping up with cars down our local road. When you stand on the hoverboard you don't really get to open it out to full speed as you cannot lean forward enough, but on the kart you can go flat out and it is quick.

Other presents including a Fortnite t-shirt, sweat shirt, bag, lunch bag, pencil case and drink bottle. Then he also got a new pair of boxing boots and an armband phone holder from us. From all the family he got £50 cash which he spent on V-bucks and new Nikes, then he got a gaming chair, some new gaming headphones, a Ninja fleece and so on.

As a special treat in the evening we took Josh out to his current favourite restaurant, Spoons, for a nice meal, but this was after he had just played his first game of tag rugby after school. So a busy birthday. Now he just has to wait for later this week for his karting party with Brandon and two of his mates. Holly is now really excited as she knows her birthday is next and wakes up everyday saying is it my birthday now!

Not a good idea using it in the house. Brandon now wants one of these having never shown any interest in Joshua's hover board before this!

Most of the family were around to sing happy birthday on the Friday night. No cake on his actual birthday as we treated him to a family meal out at Spoons.
