1st Dog Racing Experience

Last time we went to The Coral Romford dog racing stadium was when Tina was pregnant with Joshua!!! That statistic was changed this weekend as the parents of our U7 Tiger's football team arranged an evening out at the dogs. I have to say I was somewhat apprehensive about taking 3 young kids to this sort of event and also how they would be with having a late night out. However the kiddies were all absolutely fine. They thoroughly enjoyed the evening out and all 3 of them stayed awake right up until the car journey home.

It was really good to see the boys mingling with their mates from football and seeing all of them getting excited and shouting out for their dog in each race. In fact we only really saw the two boys when they either wanted a drink or to tell us who they wanted to bet on in the next race. Other than that they were off with their mates all evening. Joshua looked hilarious walking around with the programme hanging out of his back pocket ready to place his next bet.

Over the course of the evening I think both boys had 3 or 4 wins and despite us only putting £1 bets on, Joshua won just shy of £25 in total. Hopefully he won't read this blog as there is no way I was letting him have all that money especially when I paid for the evening and all of his bets, so in the end he came away with £10 winnings which he was more than happy with. Brandon didn't get quite as much and only won about £6. Overall the evening was a great success and the boys thoroughly enjoyed their first dog racing experience. I definitely think we will be going back.

Max, Joshua and Brandon getting ready for the first race of the evening.

A very happy Brandon as he strikes gold in his first ever bet and pockets £2.37.

All the lads enjoying an evening out. Brandon, Ryan, Joshua, Alfie, Max and Lorne.

Another winner for Joshua.

Great views as the kids all preferred to stand track side to watch the action.

Every 2nd r 3rd race they put the sprinklers on to wet the sand on the track and Joshua found it hilarious to stand there and get a cooling shower!

Holly holding her programme and pulling her "Chucky" face, clearly she was disappointed with her dogs performance.

The kiddies did great to stay awake all evening, but pretty much as soon as we hit the car, it was lights out for all 3 of them.

Looks like you all had a fab night! Will make sure I don't upset Holly as I would not like to be on the wrong side of her with that Chucky face! Hehe xxx
