Extreme Stunt Show

Tonight me and the two boys headed over to Hylands Park in Chelmsford as I had purchased tickets for the Extreme Stunt Show. A perfect treat for Joshua having been awarded Star of the Day today for his efforts in PE and at swimming today. Anyway I have been really looking forward to this all week and knowing what petrol heads me and the boys are, it was always going to be a winner. The show includes the BMX team, the Freestyle Motocross team, fire walkers, quad bikes, buggies and of course the Extreme and Lil' Devil monster trucks. 2000bhp V8 methanol fuelled trucks that have your ears ringing every time they drive past. Just awesome. The boys absolutely loved the show and at the end they managed to meet all of the stunt riders and get their autographs on their programmes.

Joshua and B getting all excited at the Extreme Stunt Show.

Some candy floss to keep them occupied whilst we wait for the show to start.

This is the "Extreme" monster truck.

And this is "Lil' Devil".

The show started with some quad bikes driving around on two wheels.

The buggy needed a man to stand on the back to add the weight in order to pull a wheelie.

Very impressive balance riding a quad one handed on one side!

Just like the Red Arrows the quad and buggy drive synchronised on two wheels.

This head case was managing to brake hard with his buggy and set it into a forward roll.

The next part of the show had two BMX's hitting some high air tricks.

Pretty amazing to see them pull off a back flip.

The FMX team jumping over a load of crushed cars.

Then the quad bikes makes the jump.

Finally the buggy makes the jump but finds it much harder than the quad.

After this the FMX team set up the high ramps and the tricks they were performing at about 40ft in the air were just incredible.

This is a great picture that shows just how high in the air the motor cycles were getting.

They freestylers performed heart attacks, Superman's and even back flips.

The stunt show included a fire walker who walked the whole length of the arena whilst on fire!

The finale of the show was the monster trucks getting some air time over the crushed cars.

Awesome power as Lil' Devil hits the cars and heads up to the sky.

Joshua and Brandon thoroughly enjoying the monster truck show.

Extreme monster truck managed to get all four wheels off the ground as it jumped the crushed cars.

At the end of the show with the vehicles all parked up the boys got their programmes autographed and picked up a poster each for their bedrooms.

A great evening out and one I would go to again, hopefully next time we can take Holly as well.
