Menorca 2017 Day 3 - Son Ganxo

Day 3 of our holiday and we spent the morning at the hotel and the water park which required a bit of bravery today as it was the coldest day of the week in the lowe 20's. After lunch we headed down to Son Ganxo which me and the boys had scouted out a day earlier for a spot of snorkeling. It was a lovely day but the water was sooo cold. Brandon sensibly bailed and only me and Joshua went in the water. Joshua usually doesn't feel the cold and just jumps in the water, but even he had to build himself up for this one. We must have been in the water for maybe 30 mins and then finally Joshua asked to get out which was music to my ears!!! We then had the quickest walk ever back to the hotel to jump in a very hot shower and thaw out. We saw plenty of fish, sea urchins, sea cucumbers etc.........but the water temp really could have done with being a few degrees higher!

This is the infamous sofa bed of death for those people that really hate their spine. Although Holly seemed happy to jump in with Brandon when she woke up.

In the water park we managed to get Holly on the lazy river for the first time.

Me, Holly and Josh on the lazy river.

Me and my little princess relaxing on the lazy river.

Time to leave the water park and go and get some lunch. As you can see the morning turned out to be quite overcast today.

As we took the kids out of school we used any opportunity to learn something including the Menorcan flag.

However we also found this flag around a lot and never managed to find out what this is for.

Love this piccy of Brandon wetting his feet at Son Ganxo.

Joshua enters the lovely clear but very cold water of Son Ganxo.

Up to his waist and now trying to muster up the courage to dive in the water.

Plenty of shoals of fishies to keep us entertained as we snorkeled around the bay.

Selfie of me and Joshua snorkeling.

Some beautiful markings on this little fish which we got to see.

More fishies....

Joshua giving me the thumbs up but the coldness is setting in.

This sea cucumber was one of the biggest I have seen and was at least a foot long.

I dived under the water to take a picture of Joshua from below.

In the restaurant they had made this huge Sur Menorca cake for pudding!

The evening entertainment was on and Holly was happy as she was given a poodle balloon.
