Holly gets her Orange Hat Swimming

Really proud of Holly this week. She absolutely loves her Thursday morning swimming classes and has progressed so far to a point where she hardly needs arm bands already. This week she was awarded her Orange hat and now moves up a class which is fantastic news.

Happy Holly with her new orange hat.

Earlier today Holly did some cake baking with Tina and judging by the picture below I would say the amount of help she [provided was minimal. As with most kids she seemed to get more of a kick out of licking the mixer blades and the spoon and getting in a right old mess in the process.

Who didn't lick mixer blades as a kid?

Amazingly Holly isn't having to fight off Josh and Brandon.

Holly did help a little by putting ingredients in to the bowl.

Holly doing some mixing.

Guess I'll be washing the walls and cupboards down later as there is bound to be lots of mess.

Licking choccy mix off of the spoon.

Yum, yum.

Holly has also shown a real keen interest in jigsaw puzzles lately and she has four Princess puzzles which have 12, 16, 20 and 24 pcs respectively. Amazingly she can do all of them on her own without any assistance. As long as you sort out each puzzle so they are not mixed up then she will sit there quite nicely until the puzzles are completed.

Holly concentrating hard on her Princess puzzles.

Nearly completed and with no help.

Ta-da, one done. "Where's the next Dad?".

Within no time at all she has completed two puzzles.

This is the 24 pcs puzzle which you would think is hard for a 3 year old. Not Holly.

Finally for today's blog I bought Holly a Unicorn t-shirt today which is one of those washable shirts that the kids can colour in herself. Holly loves anything art and crafty and she was so excited when I came home from work and gave this to her. She just about gave me time to get changed and then it was at the dinner table and get started. I know I helped her out but the majority of the colouring was done by her and as you can see she can keep between the lines extremely well for a 3 year old.

Holly really enjoyed sitting down with me after work today to colour in her new t-shirt.

She is doing amazing for a 3 year old and her colouring is amazingly neat and tidy.

Father and daughter time after work.

The finished t-shirt and I think this is outstanding. Clearly we need to teach Holly the order of the colours of the rainbow though.
