Isle of Wight Day 5 - Sandown Pier and Water Wipeout

Day 5 and I think its fare to say we have crammed a lot in to the holiday already. So today was a little bit of a down day. We all slept in a little bit later and had a very relaxed morning hanging around the tent and eating lovely fresh cooked bacon baps. After breakfast we headed in to Sandown and spent the morning on the Pier and then headed over to the park and yet more crazy golf before having a picnic. After the picnic we headed back down on the beach for an hour or so before rushing back to the camp site as Joshua and Brandon were booked in to a Wipeout type inflatable fun session in the swimming pool.

 

On the beach we had some fun making a little race track in the sand and then timing each other to see who could run the track the quickest. We also marked up a runway and a take off point and had a little long jump and triple jump comp which was inspired by the recent athletics World Championships in London.

 

Morning duties as Joshua does a little WOD filling up fresh water and carrying it back to the tent.

A nice relaxed morning in the tent and enjoying some bacon butties.

We took a fairly long walk along Sandown seafront to get to the pier.

We also did a bit of bowling on the pier. Joshua lost miserably and Tina won.

I think I've had enough crazy golf this holiday however the kids really wanted to play the Sandown one as well.

This hole is memorable for B as he got a hole in 1.

Again Holly gave up with the putter and was kicking / throwing her ball in the hole.

Back at base and the boys went on the Wipeout, Brandon fell off the first 2 times trying to cross.
