Disneyland Paris 2019 Day 3

After a very late night on Day 2 due to staying up to watch the firework display, we decided it was best to not wake the kids of early to maximise the early bird park entry but to let them have some much needed sleep. Also they were quite keen to just spend some time at Davy Crockett as we had hardly been there (other than to sleep) since arriving on Monday.

So after a nice lazy morning the kids finally surfaced about 9am and then after breakfast we made the most of the on site swimming pool and had a bit of a family swim. The pool was pretty cool with a slide, a waterfall, a sort of lazy river and some other water jet features. I think Holly would have been quite happy to stay there all day. The hair dryers in the changing rooms were also quite novel and provided lots of entertainment for the kids.

After lunch we headed back over to the theme parks for some rides with a plan of watching the parade at 5:30 and then heading over to Mickey’s Café at 6:30 for a meet the characters dinner. The parade was spectacular as always and Holly was completely mesmerised by it all. She absolutely loved seeing all the characters and having them wave and blow kisses at her.

Once the parade was over we had a quick dash back to Mickey’s Café in the village where we had arguable the best food of our stay. The menu was actually really nice restaurant quality food and not just the typical burgers and chips that you get everywhere else. As we were eating our meal quite a few characters came out to meet the kids, have their pictures taken with us and to sign Holly’s autograph book. I think we ended up seeing Eeeor, Minnie, Mickey, Tiger and Pluto to name a few. Holly even got up and had a little dance with Minnie Mouse during the meal. So all in all another fun packed day despite having a later start and a bit of a lay-in.

The Davy Crockett swimming pool.

Holly could have spent all day in the pool.

After a swim and some lunch it was back to Disneyland.

Me and Holly having fun on the carousel.

Enjoying the Pinocchio ride to get out of the rain.

The story of Pinocchio told in a ride.

Tina, Brandon and Holly on Pinocchio.

Me and the kiddies on the tea cups.

Then it was on to Peter Pans ride (always long queues on this one so we used our fast pass).

Stunning scenery of Captain Hook and Peter Pan.

Holly exploring the extra large tree house.

It is quite impressive just how high up the tree goes.

In the afternoon we finally took a ride on the Mississippi boat around Thunder Mountain.

Gives you a great view of Holly's favourite ride.

Our 3 kiddies in the Mississippi river boat.

Another view of Holly's favourite ride.

Attention to detail, dinosaur bones in the rock face.

The start of the amazing parade.

Donald and Goofy.

The Chipmunks.

My favourite part of the parade, the Toy Soldiers.

Woody and the Slinky Dog.

Jessie who was one of the characters Holly got to meet in the park and get her autograph.

Lot's of Lion King ahead of the release of the new film.

The jungle book.

Loved the blue skull cart for Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

Smee just chilling on the back.

Then along comes Finding Nemo.

It's Crush.

Very impressive fire breathing dragon.

Holly adored seeing the Princess carriages and getting waves and kisses from the Prince and Princesses.

Another Princess - sorry I don't know the names!!!

And more Princesses.

As if things couldn't get any better for Holly and along comes Disney Frozen, led by Sven.

Sven and Olaf.

More Disney Frozen, Elsa and Anna where right at the top.

And finally the parade comes to an end.

Cafe Mickey and the first character the kids met was Minnie.

Joshua was a bit shy with Minnie, but bless him he didn't ruin it for Holly and joined in with the pictures like a good sport.

Holly and Mickey.

The kiddies with Eeeor.
Two grumpy old men!
Happy Holly getting cuddles from Tiger.

Holly meeting Pluto.

Well the kids said they wanted a dog!

Holly was even spoilt with a dance with Minnie Mouse.

What a lovely picture of my Princess with Mickey at Mickey's Cafe.

Holly enjoying her ice-cream for pudding. Her autograph book right next to her which Tina managed to lose in a village shop later that evening. Luckily we got it back the next night as Holly had already collected a lot of autographs.

Holly high fiving Pluto.

A very impressive Buzz Lightyear and Woody made from Lego.

And even a life size R2D2 made of Lego.

But the most impressive is this amazing wall art made entirely of Lego.
