Disneyland Paris 2019 Day 2

Day 2 of Disneyland Paris was probably one of my favourites. We all got up early to maximise the early-bird hour by getting to the parks for 8:30 giving us an extra hour and a half before the gates open to the public. During this hour and a half the parks are still busy as its open to anyone staying in Disney hotels and that is a lot of people. But if you are quick you can really maximise this hour and a half and get a lot of big rides done before the queues start getting ridiculous. That being said because we went in term time and there were no French holidays the parks weren't massively busy and I think the longest queue we had was maybe 45 mins. We were being pretty smart and making the most of the phone App to see what rides had the smaller, queues, using fast pass tickets and also using parent swap when ever possible.

Anyway for Day 2 we went to Disney Studios which is my favourite of the two parks. There are some really great rides in the studios, such as Crushes Coaster, Ratatouille, RC Racer, Terror Tower to name but a few. On top of that there is the Studio Tours, the very impressive Stunt show, Mickey Mouse magic Show and Marvel Avengers show - so plenty to keep us busy. Interestingly Holly could go on most of the rides including Terror Tower which she absolutely loved and giggled all the way. Brandon on the opposite hand was almost in tears and clenching on to Tina's arm frightened for his life.

After a day at the Studios we went for dinner in the Rainforest Cafe located in the Disney Village and then headed back in to the Disney Park to squeeze in a few more rides before settling down in our spot to wait for the spectacular firework display. Pictures just do not do the fireworks justice as all your senses are blasted with Disney music, water fountains, fireworks and Disney characters laser projected on to the Princess Castle. The fireworks didn't start until 11pm so it was a very late night, but it was well worth staying for and finished off day 2 amazingly. Super late night for the kids.

Early start to Day 2 to head in to Walt Disney Studios.

The iconic Mickey Mouse ears.
Whilst me and the boys raced in to Crush's Coaster, Holly got to meet Jessie from Toy Story.

Another autograph for Holly's book.

Tina, Holly and Jessie.

Holly jumped on the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride whilst me and the boys queued for Crushes Coaster.

However we then realised Holly was tall enough so we didn't a parent swap so that Tina and Holly could have a go.

Not sure who is screaming the most, Tina or Holly.

The two boys on Crushes Coaster.

Joshua, Brandon and Holly with a giant Buzz Lightyear.

The 4D Ratatouille ride was really amazing, me Josh and H is one cart.

Tina and Bee in another cart.

Beautiful Italian continental European landscape by the Ratatouille ride.

Joshua on a race bike.

Holly and Bee on the bike (think Holly needs to grow some more).

Love this picture of all 3 kiddies on a scooter.

The RC Racer ride is a small ride, often with only 5 mins queue - but boy what a thrill ride this is. Talk about lose your stomach.

Joshua and Bee about to head on the RC Racer.

That's a big wheel.

Joshua by a large domino wall.

Brandon parachuting by the Toy Story soldier drop ride.

Joshua pretending to parachute.

Oddly enough the boys didn't want to go on this at first so only Holly and Tina went on it. Interestingly they had a pigeon that had nested in their canopy!!!

What goes up...........

Holly enjoyed the ride so much she also wanted a parachute picture done.

Brandon in front of Cruel-la's car as we queue for the Stdio Tour.

On the tour we saw some props from many films including Pearl Harbour.

I think this was from Dinotopia.

A movie set from Dinotopia.

The special effects show with the fire and flooding was amazing.

I think we are about to get wet.

The whole train gets engulfed in water.

Some classic cars from movies.

......and more movie cars.....

....and more, including the RC Racer from Buzz Lightyear.

At the end of the tour you visit another special effect scene in London which I think is supposed to have a dinosaur appear. But it must have been broken as we just got the sounds and fire.

After the Studio Tour we watched the incredible Stunt Show. The warm up act was a stunt motor bike.

Followed by a guest appearance from the worlds most famous racer, Lightning McQueen.

Then the main stunt show started with the goodies red cars and baddies black cars.

The motorbikes also featured in the car stunts. Holly hated the explosions and scenes that had guns firing.

Stunt bikes jumping.
A man even set himself on fire during the stunt show.

The end stunt was spectacular with a big car jump, fire and explosions.

Joshua with Black Panther in Marvel Land.

Brandon with Ironman. He had the hump and wouldn't do the Ironman pose.

Unlike me, I had no issues Hulking out.

Groot appeared on a rather entertaining outdoor sideshow.

Whilst queueing for a show we got to watch an outdoor Marvel Avengers show based around Tony Stark.

Another superhero makes an appearance (bad Daddy for not knowing the name!).

Now that's what you call an ice-cream van.

Inside Terror Tower and about to enter our Elevator. Holly loved it, but Brandon was in tears.

In the afternoon we went inside to watch the Super Hero's United show. Holly suddenly appeared to become a Spiderman fan.
All of the Avengers on stage and battling the bad guys. Again Holly was in awe that she had seen the real Spiderman.

The big bad Thanos makes his entrance on the stage.

Another classic car in the Studios.

Anyone for some fuel.

The man himself - Walt Disney.

Tina and he kiddies with Walt Disney and Mickey in the background.

Toon Studios with Mickey.

Notice the kids were all wearing their new Disneyland Paris t-shirts on day 2.

Holly, Josh and Bee trying the Monster Inc scream monitor.

A rare picture of all 5 of us on holiday.

Me and the kiddies riding the magic carpets.

At least 1 out of the 4 of us are enjoying this ride.
Holly wanted every bit of Merchandise she saw and in the studios she bought this hand held bubble light machine.

Time to leave the Studios and get some dinner.

Tina and the kiddies outside Walt Disney Studios.

Dinner time in the Rainforest Cafe, stunning fish tank.

And noisy elephants that came to life every now and then.

Probably the most expensive burger and chips type dinner I will ever buy.

Me and Brandon enjoyed a Toblerone cheesecake for pudding.

Back in to Disneyland to sneak on a few rides before the firework display. Late in the evening the queues for Hyperspace Mountain were tiny.

Heading off on "It's a Small World".

A nice easy ride to chill out after a busy day.

Lots to view and take in.

Holly wanted to head back over to her favourite ride - Thunder Mountain.

We settled down and found our space for the firework show and watched the sun set over the Princess Castle.

The firework show was well worth the wait and just incredible. No amount of pictures can do this justice.
