End of an Era at Forest Glade

A bit of a sad day yesterday as it was the end of an era at Forest Glade for the King Family. We have had some real highs and some real lows over the years with both Joshua and Brandon playing there. The club has recently undergone many changes including the chairman, and in our opinion the changes have been for the worse and lots of key people who made the club what it is appear to be leaving.

Brandon's Tigers team folded at Xmas and he joined the Panthers team which looked strong with some 12+ players of a good level. However little did we know at the time that the head coach and his son (Callum - the strongest player on the team) would be leaving resulting in 75% of the team also jumping ship ahead of next season. So with only 5-6 players the Panthers have now also folded and thus we are left urgently looking for another team to get Brandon in to for next seasons U11's.

So yesterday was to be his last presentation day at Forest Glade and now it is time to move on to pastures new. Brandon seems pretty unphased by yet another move and will still continue his Chelsea Foundation training as well. So watch this space for announcement of his new team, currently we re working on options at Runwell and Essex Royals.

Brandon with his 2019 trophy for an up and down season at U10.

A final farewell to Forest Glade as it is now time to move on.
