Fathers Day Meal & Holly's Chicken Pox

Earlier this week I got to have my annual school dinner at Abacus with the children as an early Fathers Day lunch. It was a shame in some respects as for only 1 year we will have Joshua, Brandon and Holly in the same school and I was due to have sit down with all three of them. Unfortunately after returning from Disneyland Paris last week, Holly has caught chicken pox and subsequently has been off school sick all week and therefore could not go to the lunch.

When the two boys had chicken pox I seem to recall they were only maybe 2 or 3 years old and whilst they had to be off of nursery it seemed to be a lot easier than what Holly has gone through this week. I feel sorry for Tina as it was her birthday On Tuesday and she was stuck indoors all day with an extremely grumpy Holly that just wanted to sit there having cuddles all day. Maybe it is because Holly is that much more older being 5 and a half and therefore more aware of what is going on and how she feels, but she has been a little demon child at times!!! Hopefully we are over the worst now and today we heard that she can now return to school next Monday as all the spots have scabbed over.

Fathers day lunch at school with the two boys, no Holly as she had chicken pox.

For my Fathers Day lunch I enjoyed a rather tasty chicken curry.

She may be smiling, but Holly has been very grumpy with her chicken pox.

Her back was worse than her front, but hopefully we are over the worst of it now.
