Spain - Costa Dorada Day 13 "The Finale"

Well day 13 was our last whole day in Spain before an early departure the next day. In between packing we managed to spend half a day on the beach and then half a day in the Aqua Park. At the start of the holiday Joshua noticed the pedal boats with on board slides and had been nagging for nearly two weeks that he wanted a go on them. So to make his final day a little different and memorable we decided to hire a pedal boat for an hour or so. This turned out to be an absolute blast watching the boys launch themselves down the slide and into the sea over and over again.

Brandon only had about 3 or 4 goes down the slide and then the combination of cold water and salt/sun cream in his eyes was enough.

Joshua could even pull himself out of the water and back onto the boat all on his own – very impressive.

When we did actually start pedalling out to sea we never really got to go that far as Joshua would be back up on the slide and telling us he needs to get in the water to check the engines on the boat!

Even once the boat ride was over the boys still wanted to play on them and were pretending to be pirates on the beach.

In Aqua Park we decided as it was out last day then we had nothing to lose by trying to get Brandon onto some of the bigger slides. We had success on Joshua's favourite one, the rock slide. So here is Brandon coming flying our of the tube and into the 3m deep plunge pool.

This is the four of at the dinner table. This was the main restaurant where we had most of our meals on holiday. The boys became good friends with one of the waitresses and had figured out that when leaving if they say to her "gracious" and "adios" then she gave them both a lolly.

All that sliding and swimming in the sea finally took its toll and poor Joshua didn't last the duration for the final mini disco.

Anyway all good things come to an end and eventually our Spanish break was over. We waved goodbye to Estevee for the last time and then got an early nights sleep ready for the 6am departure. The boys were both sad to leave Spain and our “chalet” as they called it. But were also both excited about going back on the big aeroplane.

How big does Joshua look in this picture. And he is wearing his cool new Phineas and Ferb T-shirt.

So that concludes yet another sequence of holiday blog updates. Now onwards and upwards to Joshua’s 4th birthday next week.
