Holly's First Night in her Cot

So a very busy and sporty day for me and the boys today. To start with we hit the driving range to tonk a bucket of balls each. Despite not going for a few weeks Brandon was still hitting them very well. After this it was over to Forest Glade where Joshua was playing in the Under 6's Team Sigma Broking against Mornington Boys and came away with a well deserved 5:2 victory. After football and a spot of lunch it was down the David Lloyd for some swimming followed by some tennis and then finally home to get some homework done and for some dinner.

Getting ready to go out and Joshua decides to try and wear Holly's car seat on his head!

At swimming Brandon wanted me to take an underwater picture of his Arsenal rubber duck, with his leg in the way. Go figure!

I think Holly has been swimming 4 or 5 times now and each time we take her I try and introduce something a bit different. Today I sat her up on the side of the pool and then got her used to falling into the water (obviously supported by me all the time). I have also been "dunking" her head under the water for the last 2 or 3 weeks and for the first time today she didn't seem to scream when she popped back up to the surface.

Little Holly dunked under water at the swimming pool.

Anyway this blog is all about Holly sleeping in her cot for the first time. So tonight I take the boys upstairs and get them washed, teeth cleaned, into PJ's and then read them a story ready for bed. The lights go out and then I go down stairs to find Tina watching the baby monitor with Holly nowhere in site. At just 3 months old she has managed to settle Holly down in her cot for the first time. It seems really weird sitting in the living room with an empty moses basket and a baby video monitor showing Holly up in her bedroom sound asleep in her cot. The big question is do we try and leave her in the cot when we eventually go to bed or do we bring her back into the moses basket in our bedroom?

Little Holly sound asleep in her cot for the very first time. Sweet dreams little girl.

Wow Holly is doing so much so quickly, amazing!
Agree that Brandon's picture was a bit weird, also quite naff because Arsenal were involved!
