Wickford Town Xmas Fete & the Return of Candy Cane

Last Sunday was the Wickford Town Xmas Fete and so once Brandon's football match was finished we headed over to see what was going on. The queue to see Santa was pretty long so the kids decided not to bother with that, instead that enjoyed a Nutella milk shake with some festive donuts whilst me and Tina sipped on a nice warm mulled wine.

Essex Royals football club were raising money by having a penalty shoot out against an Elf. Both Brandon and Holly had a go and scored past the Elf (he was almost as bad as Jo Hart!). There were also a few little rides there which Holly enjoyed but the boys have now outgrown!!!

Brandon steps up to take his Elf penalty.

Holly blasts a goal past the Elf.

Holly riding the Xmas train, the boys are both too big for these rides now.

But Holly still enjoyed herself.

She even got to go on a Disney Princess aeroplane ride.

Anyway today is December the 1st and for the 3rd or 4th year running, the kids have been visited by that mischievous little Elf called Candy Cane. This year we now have triple trouble though as he has brought two more Elves which the kids have named "Buddy" and "Peppermint" to watch over the three kids. So last night Candy Cane arrived though his little Elf door with a tiny Elf key and left a welcome message for the kids along with all their advent calendars.

As a special gift the Elves bought Joshua a Match Attacks advent calendar, Brandon a Hotwheels advent calendar and Holly got a Playmobile calendar which were all gift wrapped. Also new for this year, the Elves appear to have fitted a Santa Cam in the living room to make sure that catch all the naughty and nice behaviour to report back to Santa each night. A little bit of Elf bunting and it looks like we are in for another 24 days of Elf on the Shelf!

Candy Cane with Buddy and Peppermint with all the advent calendars and presents that they delivered for Josh, Brandon and Holly.

Good old Candy Cane is back with his magic Elf door and if you look closely you can even see a tiny key left on the floor.

The all new Santa Cam to help catch all the good and bad behaviour to report back to Santa.
And even Elf bunting, although I am not sure they should be encouraging kids to have a naughty Xmas!

Here we go again, let the Elf on the Shelf fun begin.
