Cyprus Holiday Day 12 - Pedal Boats

Day 12 started with the boys again wanting to do water aerobics, unfortunately it wasn't on today. So whilst Brandon played in the pool and Tina and Holly relaxed, me and Josh decided to go for a walk to Sandy Beach, During our walk we stumbled across a few more lizards by the rocks. We took a few nice pictures of the scenery, had a quick dip in the sea and then headed back to the hotel pool.

Brandon's little pet kitten appeared pool side for a nice drink of chlorine water.

The boys ended up going to the bar and getting the kitten a cup of milk.

Joshua gets his picture taken in the water sports jeep.

Once me and Josh got back from our walk the main pool's water volleyball game was about to start. So me and the two boys decided to go and join in and I ended up being team captain. Like an idiot I picked the team with my heart and not my head and obviously picked Joshua and Brandon first. This was a mistake as the other team picked all of the tall adults leaving our term a bit vertically challenged to say the least. So that's my excuse for us losing. We did have fun though,

Me lifting Joshua to help him get his serve over the net.

Me taking centre spot and showing the boys how to get a point.

After lunch we were back at the now very familiar water sports centre as the boys wanted to go out on one of the pedal boats with a built in slide. The ones in Cyprus were really cool and looked like a VW beetle design. Having been on holiday for nearly two weeks with no training and far too much food and drink, I have to say that pedalling this boat was quite hard work and I was blowing a bit to say the least.

Joshua was up and down the slide like a yo-yo and had a real good time. Brandon only went down the slide once despite the fact that he had a life jacket on. He just doesn't like sea water. At one point Joshua was perched up on the slide ladder as a speed boat zoomed past creating quite a wake behind it. The wake rocked the boat quite violently and Joshua took a but of a hard fall down the slide which had me worried for a minute or so, but fortunately he was ok.

Joshua helps me pedal our boat out to sea.

Brandon climbs up the ladder but only slides into the sea once.

Joshua gets ready to launch himself down the slide.

And down he goes into the crystal clear waters.

Brandon just chilling on the boat.

Joshua getting ready to jump off the side of the boat for a swim.

The two boys on our VW shaped pedal boat with slide.

Joshua getting braver as he goes down the slide head first.

We ended up so far out to sea that we bumped into the afternoon Nemo cruise.

Joshua showing the spectators on Nemo his water slide skills.

Brandon was waving to the passengers on the Nemo boat but still wouldn't go back in the sea.

Time to head back to shore and finally the boys give my legs a rest and they both take to the pedalling.

Nearly there.

Back to shore, me and the boys say farewell to our pedal boat. Another great adventure.

After all that exercise the boys take some chill time in the sun.

In the evening we decided to take a break from the hotel restaurant and took the kids to pizza hut for dinner. The boys obviously ate very well here, but the real star was Holly. She polished off most of a kids meal which included garlic bread, chips, nuggets and then she was pinching bits of our pizza.
