Beavers to Cubs

It doesn't seem that long ago that Joshua joined Beavers, however as he is almost 8 it is time for him to leave and start a new adventure at cubs. He is one of the few from his school that has stuck with the Beavers as most of his friends have left. I am so pleased he enjoys Beavers and will hopefully continue to enjoy cubs equally as much.

Joshua has already had 2 induction sessions in the cubs class which runs at the later time of 6:30 to 8:00 on a Tuesday evening. It is funny seeing him in the group as he has gone from being the biggest and loudest Beaver to one of the smallest, quietest and shyest scouts. I doubt that will last for long.

So with just 2 weeks left at Beavers he was presented with the Beavers Bronze award this week which is the highest award a Beaver can achieve. It means he has completed all 6 challenge awards and 4 activity awards amongst many others. So we wave goodbye to his blue Beaver jumper and await the order for his all new green cub jumper. Then Tina has the arduous job of transferring a load of his badges over to his new uniform.

Finally not related to Beavers or Cubs but here is a nice picture of Holly showing off her new Minnie Mouse sun glasses that I bought her earlier this week. A little big for her head but she likes them and thinks she looks cool.
