Tenerife Day 14 - Homebound

Day 14. Last day and we let the kids sleep as much as they needed whilst we did some packing. Joshua was really helpful carrying cases to reception when we checked out. We then had a final day on resort just enjoying the pools, messing around, eating and drinking. Some stupid German tried accusing Josh of breaking his water gun which was quite amusing. Joshua got a bit upset about it until I explained that Germany had useless guns in WW1 and WW2 which is why they lost, so its no surprise their water pistols are equally inferior.

After lunch me and Brandon took Holly out for a long walk while she had her afternoon nap. Whilst we were out we did some final souvenir shopping and Brandon bought a Portugal football watch. We bought Holly a Spanish dancers dress and I was hoping to get her a Real Madrid or Barca football kit but I couldn't get anything under €40 which is crazy for a small baby kit.

Joshua stayed and played in a pool and when we returned we joined him. Holly was learning how to drink out of a paper coke cup which was nice to see. We think she is ready for her doidy cup now.

After a shower and our final meal we headed to reception to get the coach back to the airport for a 9.50pm flight. We seemed to have little time in the airport and were soon boarding the plane, Holly was so tired and screamed relentlessly for the first 10-14 mins of the flight (much to the annoyance of surrounding passengers). We knew once she was asleep we would probably hear nothing from her for the rest of flight.

Last bit of sunbathing for our little solar panel before the journey home.

Brandon enjoying some lazy time after a very full on 2 week holiday.

Clever girl Holly learning to drink from a cup. Don't worry she wasn't drinking coke, only water.

It is amazing what she picks up from just watching everyone around her. I guess all the baby bottles need to go now!

Of course this was fine until she started filling her cup with pool water and trying to drink that!

In the airport and the boys are getting attacked by a not so friendly looking shark.

This shark head was in one of the shops at the airport.

So another annual holiday comes to an end and we have all had an absolutely fantastic time. The Canary Islands are just great for the kids, not too far away, good weather, good food, and very safe. I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend so much time with Holly and to give all the kids some new experiences. Siam Park was clearly a major part of this holiday but for me the highlight will probably always be the Medieval Knights night out that we did.
