Christmas Pool Party

So school is now out for the Christmas vacation and what a way to start the holidays today with a Christmas Pool Party. Whoever came up with the idea of bouncy castles and inflatable slides in a swimming pool is a genius. I so wish they had things like this when I was a kid. The boys had an hour in the pool to go as mad as they liked on a giant inflatable castle / pirate ship, then they played a few games of pass the parcel and musical statues before finally getting a visit by Santa and being given a selection box each.

Joshua and Brandon were pretty excited waiting for the pool party to start. They were like caged lions waiting to get cracking....

Joshua storms down the slide and through the ships wheel as if he is competing in an episode of Wipe Out.

Brandon follows him down the slide.

Through the steering wheel.

Both boys had an absolute blast and were up and down like yo-yo's.

They also had various floats and rings around the pool for the kids to play with.

Brandon showing us his back stroke.

The slide at the end of the inflatable which dropped the kids into the deep end of the pool wasn't that high, but for some reason not many of the kids could make it up there. In the end one of the pool attendants sat there and helped the kids to get over the final slide.

Joshua desperately trying to get u the final slide but kept slipping down.

That's one impressive inflatable.....

Brandon gets ready to climb up into the ship.

Both my boys on the inflatable.

A worn out Brandon relaxes a bit by laying on a float.

Once the kids were showered and dressed they had some games and then Santa came to meet them with a selection box each.

The Christmas Pool Party was organised by the boys local swimming club and I have to say it was a real bargain when you consider what they got for just £3.80 each! The boys enjoyed it so much that they now both want to have pool parties for the next birthday party. The good news is that as the kids are under 8 you have to have 1 adult for every child so guess what - oh yes, it means I will have to go on the inflatable with them. Let the Total Wipe Out begin.....
